Ford India is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company in India. It currently is the sixth largest car maker in India. Ford India began production in 1926, but was shut down in 1954 as the company was in loss. Ford re-entered the market in 1995 as a 50-50 joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra. Ford increased its interest to 72% in March 1998 and renamed the company Ford India Private Ltd.

Ford currently manufactures Ford Endeavour, Ford Classic, Ford Fiesta, Ford Figo, and Ford Ecosport in India.
