Traffic Ambala Police, has two separate Traffic Police Station and its office are situated at Mohra on National Highway 44 for Urban areas & and another one Traffic Police Station Shahzadpur situated on National Highway 73 (old) near Shahzadpur for Rural. Both Traffic Police Stations are working under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambala. Traffic Enforcement:- Sufficient number of Police Officials have been posted as per BPRD norms in traffic staff. Awareness programme are being organized for general public, student and road users about traffic rules on continuously basis. Traffic Challan are being made against the violators rules specially traffic laws violations by two wheelers, cars & taxies, trucks over speeding without helmets and non-wearing of seat belt.

Sincere and arduous efforts are being made by the district police administration to reduce road accident and to save precious lives of the peoples. In case of road accidents to provide all possible assistance is being given to the accident victims as soon as possible. 03 Police Assistance Booths have been already installed at a reasonable distance on National Highways No. 44. Total 02 Bolero, 02-Crane & 03 Motor cycle rider police vehicles are patrolling on National Highways round the 24 hours on various areas for smooth traffic and reduction of road accident in District Ambala.

Trauma Care:- 02 Trauma Care centre i.e. Civil Hospital Ambala City (NH-65) & MM Hospital Mullana (NH-344) has already been functioning in this district smoothly. The aim is to ensure proper trauma care to the victims of road accidents with in minimum possible time. Police department is being collected the data of the taken by the ambulance to reach the spot and evacuate the accident victims to the nearest Hospital/Trauma centre, survival rate in various Hospitals.

Challaning Branch:-

A challaning branch has also been established in Police Lines, Ambala City. All challans of M.V. Act are compounded in this branch. The main object of Ambala Traffic Police is to provide better traffic management to commuters and reduce accident and make Ambala roads safe, smooth and friendly.
